Making the Cut

 I love this girl's long hair.  But it NEVER looks nice!  It's always a rats nest that she refuses to brush or let me style.  If I do manage to get something in her hair, she takes it out a few minutes later.  I've even tried bribes if she would only keep a clip in for the three hours of church.  No go.

So I cut it.  On the plus side, it doesn't get as messy now.  But the haircut that looked really cute on an almost-three-year-old did not turn out as well for an almost-five-year-old.  It makes her look younger and like more of a tom boy.  Not really happy with how it turned out.

Thank goodness she is still so beautiful!

Here she is getting ready for her ballet dance class in her Hello Kitty leotard, so cute! She loves dance with Miss Tammy!




I've got to figure out something before it grows out again so that we can make it look nice while it's long!


In other news, did you know you can donate hair to Locks of Love even if you have less than 10 inches?  If it's longer than 10 inches they can use it to make wigs but if it's shorter they can still sell it to help offset their operating costs.  If you're cutting off a major chunk of hair, why not put it in rubber bands first and donate it?  We donated about 6 inches.
