Down by the riverside

We got some great professional pictures taken last month by the river in Boise.  But after the photographer left, our family just had to stay and play for a while.  It was the nicest weather we'd seen--a chance to take off our jackets and have fun.

What do kids do around water?

 Throw rocks.

 Sometimes they make a bigger splash than planned.

 Annalee was very intent on finding the perfect rocks.

Who's that?  That person there, by Annalee?  Why, it's MOMMY!  Mommy is letting herself be seen in a picture!  I guess losing weight has made her a lot less self-conscious.  We are looking forward to seeing more of her in the future!

 Vander's sole desire was to get into the river and drown.

 It was a pretty fun day for our family.

Nathan and I were surprised how relaxing it was to just play with our kids, and realized it had been a long time since we'd done that.  We can't wait to do more fun stuff outdoors!
