Discovery Center

The Discovery Center in Boise is so much fun! You could spend HOURS there, experimenting and playing with the exhibits--that is, you could spend hours there if your little ones would let you! It's kind of pricey so we don't go there often, but we got to go there twice in July because Aunt Michele had some free tickets.
This elevator allowed a person to pull themselves up with just the rope because of the many wheels and pulleys it ran through to reduce the necessary force. It was one of the favorites.
My kids were too young to fully appreciate most of the exhibits, but they loved the pint-sized supermarket!
Price check!
The second time we got to go with Sarah and her family while they were here dropping off Paisley for a visit. Her older kids had a ball with the more sciencey exhibits and never wanted to leave!
We went on a paddle boat ride with the nieces and nephews.

I remember doing that as a kid at a pond near the Hogle Zoo in Utah, I think.
