A few days before Easter the kids got a surprise package from their Grandpa and Grandma Ring. (Sandi's dad.) Vander was stoked.
So was Tavi, who wanted to help him open it.They got cute toys, candy, and even some healthy snacks. They also got a Webkinz. Awesome computer virtual world aside, Vander loved how soft his duck was. (It's a duck, right?)
Annalee tore into her bag so quickly that I only got one picture of her. She loves her rabbit, and named it Tickles.
The Easter Bunny came Friday night, so we got to open our baskets Saturday morning. He decided that with Mommy trying to lose weight he would bring toys instead of candy.
Vander was a little sleepy, but he eventually figured out the led flashing rabbit. He also got his first set of construction vehicles. Yay for boy toys!
Annalee loved her puzzle (despite this strangely serious face) and her Sea Monkeys. She had been begging for a pet fish for a long time. Then, suddenly these Sea Monkeys showed up and I wanted to kiss the Easter Bunny. They are so easy--genius!
We colored eggs for the first time this year. (Last year we decorated them by boiling them in silk--very pretty.) It was a royal pain and dirtied every cup and bowl in the house. Annalee was in heaven.
We had 11 chicken eggs and one turkey egg. One of Nathan's coworkers has a turkey farm and hands out freebies every so often. Here you can see the difference in size.
Turkey egg is the blue one in the top left corner.
After Easter, Annalee discovered she loves hardboiled eggs. She begged for them each day that week for lunch. She just ate them sliced up, not in a sandwich or anything. Then I let her have some with salt. Then she emptied the salt shaker onto one. No more salt after that.

She is her grandmothers with the salt!
Seems to be a common theme with alot of our family... Except Aunt Pepper... You sure that's not why she's called that?
That video of Vander with the duck is adorable!
